About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with at least three years of litigation experience and a strong academic background to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and oral advocate who enjoys taking ownership of their cases, working closely with clients, and contributing to strategic case development.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from initial investigation through trial or resolution
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Appear in court for hearings, motions, and conferences
- Analyze complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on high‑value cases
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in civil litigation (state or federal)
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong courtroom presence and confidence handling hearings
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills
- Licensed and in good standing in New Mexico
